Brikk Launches Heptagon Jewelry Line Including the Worlds First Horological Jewelry

Brikk Heptagon Pendant

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 16, 2012

Brikk (http://www.brikk.com), design and engineering pioneers, announced today the launch of their Heptagon jewelry collection, inspired by the digit seven. In searching for a signature shape for their designer jewelry line, Brikk found the Heptagon – a geometric seven-sided form – is virtually unused as a mainstream shape in the industry.

The heptagon is a place of worship to the digit seven, a digit with cultural, scientific and religious significance. Some of the most common associations with this digit include the seven sign of the rainbow, seven seas, seven continents, seven musical clarification and seven days of the week.

All of the worlds major religions attribute fantastic importance to the digit seven including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. The list of unique qualities and distinctions for seven literally goes on and on.

The Heptagon jewelry collection has two editions: the Heptagon Standard and the Heptagon Deluxe. The Deluxe collection, the first to be launched, is made of the precious metals platinum or yellow gold and has shape and black carbon coating options.

The collection is comprised of three men’s rings, three women’s rings and a unisex pendant The pendant is termed ‘horological jewelry,’ and contains a completely functional Swiss made skeleton mechanical mind movement suspended between two pieces of sapphire glass and features nearly three ounces (81 grams) of precious metal. Pricing for this collection starts at US$ 2,650 for the rings and US$ 19,180 for the pendant. The collection is available at select fine jewelry stores throughout the world and on the Brikk Etsy page (http://www.etsy.com/shop/BrikkUSA).

The Heptagon Standard collection, arriving in Fall 2012, will feature an expanded line crafted of silver at a lower price point.

Brikk’s ‘profit for philanthropy’ model funnels proceeds to help populations around the world suffering from hunger and starvation. For each product sold, a point amount of rice is allocated and distributed to those in need through select NGOs to areas in need such as Somalia and the Horn of Africa. Brikk’s dream is simple: that other luxury brands will follow their example and adopt a permanent ‘profit for philanthropy’ model. The Heptagon Deluxe collection features a metric ton of rice (1000kg or 2,200 pounds) distributed to the hungry for each piece bought.

I may sound like a parent, but I’m really 24-years-ancient, no kids of my own…

Seriously, what values can a kid learn from listening to rap, hip-hop and death metal music?

http://www.michaeljackson.com This site looks fascinating, but requires membership. I did not see if that is free. I am already a member of too many uncommon sites where literature is explored.
This site does, but, give Amazon as a link, so:

http://www.amazon.com Here, after being sure I was in the Books category then putting his name in the search box, I saw that there are over 17,000 books that mention the word ‘Michael’ and/or ‘Jackson.’
I looked at the first page up, and saw many fascinating books, yet all are expensive, even used, for Amazon.
I only saw one that was not expensive: ‘On Michael Jackson’ with 35 ‘new and used’ copies priced from about $ 2.00. Shipping and Handling adds $ 3.99 from any source.

If you like, and you see gold stars under an fascinating title at Amazon, regularly readers who assess books give out a lot of info on what is in the books.
To reach any reviews, separate a book by clicking on it, then scroll down past publication info and other books like it to read them.

MTV / VH1 Reject Bombs Away’s Super Soaker Video For Being “Too Risqué”

Bombs Away – Super Soaker

Teaneck, NJ (PRWEB) April 13, 2012

In a recent report from RIVE Video Promotion, Radikal Records has learned that MTV and VH1 networks just refused to air the music video for “Super Soaker” by their artist Bombs Away. The reason given to RIVE for the rejection was reportedly that the networks thought, “the video was too risqué.”

While it’s not unusual for MTV or VH1 to pass up on new music video submissions (they must pass up on dozens if not hundreds of submissions every day) getting a reason for the rejection is more rare, and for being too risqué, even more so. The response is somewhat of a surprise coming from a network like MTV, on which viewers can witness the raunchy, drug and alcohol driven sexual exploits of Snooki and the crew on their show Jersey Shore just about every day of the week.

Perhaps MTV is now a bit more sensitive to controversy since they received public criticism earlier this year for their show Skins, which depicts teens having sex, doing drugs and consuming alcohol. The show stirred up opposition from advocacy groups and had some calling for investigations into whether or not MTV had violated laws related to child pornography and the sexual exploitation of children.

So the question may be legitimately posed, is the Bombs Away “Super Soaker” video more controversial than MTV’s contemporary programming? The song “Super Soaker” is about the group Bombs Away’s thought to fill a water gun with vodka and use it to administer shots of the alcohol (pun intended). The video shows nothing MTV viewers haven’t seen before, primarily featuring dozens of young adult women in bikinis dancing provocatively while band members Thomas Hart and Matt Coleman run around with their giant toy water guns. While the song does use some evocative language, there is no explicit profanity.

Bombs Away are a DJ/Manufacture duo from Australia that have had accomplishment in their own country, holding concurrent spots on the AIRIA Charts and achieving top 10s on iTunes and Beatport Charts. Most just, their song “Super Soaker” achieved gold status in Australia. Bombs Away’s music certainly appeals to a younger crowd that enjoys the party lifestyle while the band members never for a second give the impression that they take themselves too seriously. Their care-free attitudes and somewhat goofy but fun-loving behavior regularly draws comparisons to the group LMFAO in the US.

While the video for “Super Soaker” has been met with resistance from MTV and VH1, it still marches on getting views and plays elsewhere. The official video on YouTube has over 1.5 million views and is getting plays on dozens of other internet video outlets and regional television networks in North America.

With the summer season still upon us, the video may be poised to take summertime party-goers by storm, as predicted by Sean Ross, one of the radio industry’s most respected programming analysts and host of Ross on the Radio. In a blog article posted in January this year free “First Summer Hit Of 2012?” Ross wrote about “Super Soaker,” saying, “It may seem like we’ve barely stopped milking the ‘Summer Song of 2011’ theme, but mark A&R and marketing staffs are gearing up for the 2012 contenders…(It’s from Australia where, of course, it already qualifies as a summer hit.) If that’s not inducement enough to try out it out, certain readers will be more interested after hearing that this is the kind of video that used to routinely go top 10 on The Box in the ’90s, even if it never got anywhere near the radio.”
