Astounding !! … I’ve been listening baroque music for well over 25 years, my CD collection is really impressive. But I never managed to listen for such a simple and also powerful version of this small treasure that is Pachelbel’s Canon. This is pure music, some of the most sublime music ever composed, and it will be so for centuries to come.
Wondefull to discover treasuries on youtube! You play with a special warmth in your sound that I miss sometimes during hearing historically informed ensembles. And nice ideas of interpretation e.g. the “lyrical” playing of the third violin in 1:46 . When you come to Germany you have to let me know!
This is peace, this is the real and good life, this is all the world, all the earth, all the solar system, all the wonderful things we see and feel, this is love, this is the music of the life.
